Em Sherif

The Em Sherif Art Foundation is a cultural initiative born from the Em Sherif restaurant legacy — expanding the brand’s presence from refined Lebanese dining into the world of contemporary Lebanese art. The goal: to support and showcase artists across Em Sherif spaces and beyond.

We were brought in to develop the brand identity and website design ahead of launch, with a clear brief: create a brand that feels connected to Em Sherif’s heritage while speaking to a new, younger art-focused audience.

Creative Direction & Brand Identity Concepts: We explored a range of visual directions rooted in cultural symbolism and design flexibility. The key concept: a circle motif inspired by the Middle Eastern evil eye and the architectural language of Em Sherif interiors. This element became the foundation for playful layouts, editorial typography, and a distinct colour palette ranging from deep navy to sky blue. We designed several proposed versions — each one balancing tradition with contemporary edge.
